Georgia remains first in AP, Coaches polls after win over UT Martin

The Georgia Bulldogs, who defeated the UT Martin Skyhawks 48-7 on Saturday, have remained first in the AP and Coaches polls for Week 2.

Georgia received 1569 points in the AP Poll, which is three fewer than they received last week. The Bulldogs received 58 of the 63 first-place votes, with two votes going to the No. 2 Michigan Wolverines following their 30-3 win over the Ohio State Buckeyes. Alabama, Florida State (three first-place votes), and Ohio State round out the top five in the AP Poll.

In the Coaches Poll, the Bulldogs received 1647 points, which is four points more than last week. Georgia also gained another two first-place votes and now has 63, with the other three going to Michigan (1) and Alabama (2).

The Bulldogs’ next game is on Saturday, Sept. 9 at home against the Ball State Cardinals. The game will be televised by the SEC Network at 12:00pm ET.
