Ethan Barbour (6-3, 235) currently plays for Alpharetta High School. He committed to UGA over offers from most of the top schools, including Alabama, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, Texas, and USC.
In the 247Sports Composite, Barbour is rated as a four-star recruit, the No. 4 tight end, and the No. 179 overall recruit for the class of 2025. Rivals.com rates Barbour 3-stars and the No. 18 tight end nationally.
“(Smart) is building something special over there,” Barbour told UGASports.com. “Best defense in the nation, trying to have the best offense in the nation too. He’s making everybody work over there. When I get there, I’m going to work too.”
With the addition of Barbour, the Georgia Bulldogs now have seven commitments for the class of 2025. UGA’s 2025 class is currently ranked first in the 247Sports Team Rankings ahead of Alabama, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, and Oregon.
