Bulldogs named to the 2023 Outland Trophy Watch List include center Sedrick Van Pran, guard Tate Ratledge, and defensive tackle Nazir Stackhouse.

The Outland Trophy is awarded to the nation’s best interior lineman as voted by the FWAA.

Michigan leads all schools with four players on the Outland Trophy Watch List. Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Utah, and Ohio State each have three representatives each.

The SEC leads all conferences with 17 players on the list. They are followed by the Pac-12 (12), Big Ten (11), Big 12 (10), ACC and American (eight each), Sun Belt (seven), MAC and Mountain West (five each), and Conference USA and Independents (four each).

The winner of the 78th Outland Trophy will be announced on The Home Depot College Football Awards, live on ESPN in December. The official presentation to the winner will be made in Omaha, Neb., at the Outland Trophy Awards Dinner on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024.

Sedrick Van Pran, a 6-foot-4, 310-pound junior, hails from New Orleans, La. Van Pran started at center in all 15 games last season and was named one of the team’s co-captains for five games.

Tate Ratledge, a 6-foot-6, 315-pound junior out of Rome, Ga., started at right guard in 14 of 15 games in 2022. Ratledge missed the Kentucky game because of injury.

Nazir Stackhouse, a 6-foot-3, 320-pound senior from Stone Mountain, Ga., started on the defensive line in every game last season. Stackhouse recorded 32 total tackles and had a career-high five tackles in the Florida game.

The back-to-back national champion Georgia Bulldogs are scheduled to open the 2023 season on Saturday, Sept. 2 against the UT Martin Skyhawks at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga. (Buy Tickets).
