Peyton Woodyard flips commitment from Georgia to Alabama

Peyton Woodyard, a four-star safety from Bellflower, Calif., has flipped his commitment from Georgia to Alabama.

Woodyard announced his flip to Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide on Tuesday afternoon.

Peyton Woodyard (6-2, 188) currently plays for St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower. He committed to the Georgia Bulldogs in January.

In the 247Sports Composite, Peyton Woodyard is rated as a four-star recruit, the No. 6 safety, and the No. 81 overall recruit in the country for 2024. When he committed to the Bulldogs, he was ranked as the No. 2 safety and N0. 29 overall recruit.

Despite the decommitment of Woodyard, the Georgia Bulldogs still have the top-ranked class in the 247Sports Team Rankings. Following Georgia re Ohio State, Florida, Florida State, and Alabama.
