UGA picked to win SEC, places 16 on 2023 Preseason All-SEC Team

The Georgia Bulldogs have been picked to win the SEC Championship and had 16 players named to the 2023 Preseason All-SEC Team, the SEC announced on Friday.
The poll and the Preseason All-SEC team are both selected by members of the media covering SEC football.
Georgia received 265 first-place votes and 2011 points overall for the SEC East. Tennessee was picked second with South Carolina in third.
The Bulldogs received the most points, 181, for the SEC champion, which is a vote conducted separate from the division vote. Alabama was selected second with 62 votes.
11 Bulldogs were named Preseason All-SEC First Team by the media — Ladd McConkey (WR), Brock Bowers (TE), Amarius Mims (OL), Tate Ratledge (OL), Sedrick Van Pran (C), Mykel Williams (DL), Nazir Stackhouse (DL), Jamon Dumas-Johnson (LB), Malaki Starks (DB), Kamari Lassiter (DB), and Javon Bullard (DB).
