Justin Greene (6-4, 260) currently plays for Mountain View High School in Lawrenceville. He committed to UGA over Alabama, Auburn, LSU, and South Carolina, plus several other top schools.
“I really like Coach Scott. I was at their spring practice just watching him coach. I really just like his energy,” Greene told UGASports.com. “Me and him talk a lot. He wants me at the defensive end position. They want me to play at that 5-technique. They tell me they definitely need some ends.
“The development. Like we talked about with all those guys getting drafted like Travon ([Walker) and Nolan Smith. I just like the defense. Their defense honestly won some games. When you look at their team, they are not scoring like 40 points every game but if you only let the other team score 17, it is hard to win when you only score two touchdowns.”
In the 247Sports Composite, Justin Greene is rated as a four-star recruit, the No. 12 defensive lineman, and the No. 101 overall recruit in the country for 2024. Rivals.com also rates Justin Greene as a four-star recruit, the No. 11 defensive lineman, and No. 97 overall.
With the addition of Greene, the Georgia Bulldogs now have 17 commitments for the class of 2024. UGA’s 2024 class is currently ranked first in the 247Sports Team Rankings ahead of Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and LSU.
Of Georgia’s 17 commitments, four recruits are rated five-stars, eight are rated four-stars, and four are rated three-stars. Punter Drew Miller, a UGA commitment, does not yet have a rating.
