Georgia to play in 2023 Baha Mar Bahamas Hoops Championship, per report
The Georgia Bulldogs are set to play in the 2023 Baha Mar Bahamas Hoops Championship, per a report by Jon Rothstein.
The Baha Mar Bahamas Hoops Championship is an annual preseason college basketball tournament that is held at the Baha Mar Convention Center in Nassau, Bahamas. Games will be played Friday, Nov. 17 through Sunday, Nov. 19.
Georgia is expected to play in the tournament along with the Miami Hurricanes, Kansas State Wildcats, and Providence Friars.
Interestingly, the Georgia women’s basketball team will also be in the Bahamas around the same time. The Lady Bulldogs will compete in the 2023 Baha Mar Hoops Pink Flamingo Championship on Monday, Nov. 20 through Wednesday, Nov. 22.
As for the men’s team, the tournament adds to a non-conference schedule that currently includes a home contest against the in-state rival Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Georgia is also slated to host the North Florida Ospreys at Stegeman Coliseum, per a separate report from Rothstein last week.
