Elyiss Williams, a five-star athlete from Folkston, Ga., has committed to UGA football for the class of 2025.

Williams committed to Kirby Smart and the back-to-back national champion Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday and posted his decision to his Twitter account.

Elyiss Williams (6-7, 235) currently plays for Charlton County High School. He committed to UGA over Florida State, plus several other top schools.

In the 247Sports Composite, Elyiss Williams is rated as a five-star recruit, the No. 1 edge rusher, and the No. 13 overall recruit in the country for 2024. Rivals.com rates Elyiss Williams as a four-star recruit, the No. 2 athlete, and the No. 24 recruit in the nation.

โ€œI grew up on Georgia Bulldogs,โ€ Williams said. โ€œI have an opportunity to stay home and be a part of the dynasty. Thatโ€™s a tough decision to deny.โ€

According to UGASports.com, Williams will probably play tight end in Athens.

With the addition of Williams, the Georgia Bulldogs now have five commitments for the class of 2025. UGA’s 2025 class is currently ranked first in the 247Sports Team Rankings ahead of Alabama, Colorado, Penn State, and Michigan.
