G-Day 2023 to be televised live by ESPN2

G-Day 2023 on Saturday, April 15 will be televised live by ESPN2, the SEC announced on Monday.

G-Day is Georgia’s annual Red vs. Black Spring game. This seasons matchup will kickoff at 4:00pm ET at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga.

With G-Day on April 15 this year, the annual game will fall one week after Easter weekend. G-Day will also be played one week after the Masters golf tournament in Augusta, Ga., which is slated for April 6-9, 2023.

The back-to-back national champion Georgia Bulldogs will begin Spring practice on Tuesday, March 14. Georgia will practice a total of 15 times, which includes the G-Day game.

Georgia’s 2023 Pro Day will also be televised. The annual event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 15 and will be televised live by the SEC Network at 10:00am ET.

The Georgia Bulldogs finished the 2022 season 15-0 overall and 8-0 in the SEC. Georgia defeated the TCU Horned Frogs 65-7 in the College Football Playoff National Championship at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif.

Georgia is scheduled to open the 2023 season on Saturday, Sept. 2 at home against the UT Martin Skyhawks. The Bulldogs host the Ball State Cardinals the following week on Sept. 9 before kicking off SEC action against the South Carolina Gamecocks on Sept. 16 in Athens.
