G-Day 2023 set for Saturday, April 15
G-Day 2023 has been set for Saturday, April 15, the UGA Alumni Association has announced. G-Day is Georgia’s annual Red vs. Black Spring game.
The date of G-Day 2023 and the start of spring football practice was first reported by UGASports.com.

With G-Day on April 15 this year, the annual game will take place one week after Easter weekend. G-Day will also be played one week after the Masters golf tournament in Augusta, Ga., which is slated for April 6-9, 2023.
Kickoff for the G-Day game will be announced later and it will likely be televised by an ESPN network or the SEC Network.
According to the report from UGASports.com, the Bulldogs will begin Spring practice on Tuesday, March 14. Georgia will practice a total of 15 times, which includes the G-Day game.
The Georgia Bulldogs finished the 2022 season 15-0 overall and 8-0 in the SEC. Georgia defeated the TCU Horned Frogs 65-7 in the College Football Playoff National Championship at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., which was their second-consecutive national title.
Georgia is scheduled to open the 2023 season on Saturday, Sept. 2 at home at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium against the UT Martin Skyhawks. The Bulldogs host Ball State the following week on Sept. 9 before opening SEC action at home on Sept. 16 against South Carolina.
