Five Bulldogs named to 2022 All-SEC Coaches’ Football First Team

Five Georgia Bulldogs have been named to the 2022 All-SEC Coaches’ Football First Team, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Tight End Brock Bowers and offensive lineman Warren McClendon were named to the First Team Offense, while defensive lineman Jalen Carter and safety Chris Smith were each named to the First Team Defense.

Additionally, placekicker Jack Podlesny was named to the First Team Special Teams.

Bulldogs named to the Second Team include quarterback Stetson Bennett, wide receiver Ladd McConkey, tight end Darnell Washington, center Sedrick Van Pran, defensive lineman Nazir Stackhouse, and defensive back Kelee Ringo.

Georgia and Alabama led all SEC teams with five players named to the 2022 All-SEC Coaches’ Football First Team. Tennessee’s four placed them in second.
