CJ Allen commits to UGA football for 2023 class

CJ Allen, a four-star linebacker from Barnesville, Ga., has committed to UGA football for the class of 2023.
Allen announced his commitment to Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs on Monday evening via his Twitter account.

CJ Allen (6-1, 217) currently plays for Lamar County Comprehensive in Barnesville. He held offers from several top schools, including Auburn, Arkansas, Florida, LSU, Miami, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, USC, and others.
In the 247Sports Composite, CJ Allen is rated as a four-star recruit, the No. 10 linebacker, and the No. 167 overall recruit in the country for 2023. Rivals.com rates CJ Allen as a three-star recruit and the No. 24 linebacker.
With the addition of Allen, the Georgia Bulldogs now have 12 commitments for the class of 2023. UGA’s class is currently ranked third in the 247Sports Team Rankings behind Notre Dame and Ohio State.
