Georgia moves up to 3rd in AP and Coaches polls for Week 6

The Georgia Bulldogs, who defeated the No. 7 Auburn Tigers 27-6 on Saturday, have moved up to 3rd in both the AP and Coaches polls for Week 6.

Georgia received 1,380 points in the AP Poll, which is up 70 points from the Week 5 poll. In the Coaches Poll, UGA received 1,372 points, up 366 points from Week 5.

The Florida Gators, also 2-0 this season, are tied with Georgia in the Coaches Poll at No. 3 but are ranked No. 4 in the AP Poll.

Clemson (3-0) remains the top-ranked team in both polls following their 41-23 win over Virginia. Alabama is second, while Notre Dame is fifth in both polls.

Georgia’s next game is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 10 at home at Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium against the 12th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers (2-0). The game is set for 3:30pm ET and it will be televised by CBS.
