Georgia Bulldogs ranked 4th in 2020 preseason AP Poll

The Georgia Bulldogs are ranked 4th in the 2020 preseason Top 25 AP Poll. UGA received a total of 1,270 points and no first-place votes.

UGA is also ranked 4th in the preseason Coaches Poll that was released on Thursday, August 6.

Four of Georgia’s 2020 opponents are ranked in the preseason poll. Alabama is ranked 3rd, Florida is ranked 8th, Auburn is ranked 11th, and Tennessee is ranked 25th.

The Clemson Tigers top the preseason AP rankings. SEC teams ranked in the Top 25 include Alabama (2), Georgia (4), LSU (6), Florida (8), Auburn (11), Texas A&M (13), and Tennessee (25).

The SEC leads all conferences with seven teams in the AP Top 25 poll. The Big Ten is second with six teams, and they are followed by the Big-12 with four, ACC and Pac-12 with three each, and the American with one.

Teams that are not playing this fall, i.e. Ohio State, will not be included in the AP Poll moving forward.
