Georgia will host Bowling Green at Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Ga., on either Thursday, Nov. 12 or Friday, Nov. 13, 2020, according to a copy of the contract obtained by SicEmDawgs.com from Bowling Green State University via a public records request. The Bulldogs will pay the Falcons a $92,000 guarantee for the game.
Georgia and Bowling Green’s first and only meeting in men’s basketball occurred during the 2011-12 season under Mark Fox. The Bulldogs defeated the Falcons 63-54 at Stegeman Coliseum in a contest that was part of the CBE Progressive Classic.
Bowling Green is the fifth known non-conference opponent for Georgia’s 2020-21 basketball schedule. The Bulldogs are also scheduled to host Cincinnati on Dec. 19 and Memphis on Jan. 2.
Road non-conference contests for the Bulldogs for the upcoming season currently include Georgia Tech on Nov. 19 and SMU on Nov. 24.
The 2020-21 season will be the third for Georgia under head coach Tom Crean. Crean’s Bulldogs have an overall record of 27-37 (.422) and SEC record of 7-29 (.194).
