4-star CB Marquis Groves-Killebrew commits to Georgia for 2022

Marquis Groves-Killebrew, a four-star cornerback from Snellville, Ga. (Brookwood), has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs for the class of 2022.

Groves-Killebrew announced his commitment to the Dawgs via his Twitter account on Wednesday evening, which was followed by a quick “Go Dawgs” response from head coach Kirby Smart.

Groves-Killebrew (6-0, 180) plays for Brookwood High School. He committed to the Georgia Bulldogs over an offer list that includes Auburn, Colorado, Florida, FSU, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, and others.

247Sports rates Groves-Killebrew as a four-star recruit, the No. 8 cornerback, and the No. 64 overall recruit for the 2022 class. Rivals.com also rates Groves-Killebrew as a four-star recruit.

Groves-Killebrew is the second commitment for Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs in the last two days and first commitment for Georgia’s class of 2022. On Tuesday, four-star outside linebacker Chaz Chambliss pledged his commitment to the Dawgs for 2021.

Georgia has a total of eight commitments for the 2021 recruiting class and it is currently ranked 16th in the country by 247Sports.
