D’Andre Swift selected in 2nd round by Detroit in 2020 NFL Draft
D’Andre Swift has been selected in the second round by the Detroit Lions in the 2020 NFL Draft (35th overall).
The five feet, nine inch junior running back hails from Philadelphia, Pa. He signed with the Georgia Bulldogs out of St. Joseph’s Prep High School on National Signing Day in February 2017.
UGA football head coach Kirby Smart and others tweeted their congratulations to D’Andre Swift shortly after he was drafted.

In his three seasons in Athens with the Georgia Bulldogs, D’Andre Swift rushed 440 times for 2,885 yards (6.6 YPC) and 20 touchdowns. He also caught 73 passes for 666 yards and five TD’s.
The NFL has not released the 2020 schedule yet due to the novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, but plans to release it on or before Saturday, May 9. However, Detroit’s opponents for the 2020 season have been set and can be viewed at the link below:
