Georgia remains 3rd in AP, Coaches polls heading into first bye week

The Georgia Bulldogs, who defeated the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 23-17 on Saturday, have remained at 3rd in both the AP and Coaches polls for Week 5.

Georgia received 1,400 points in the AP Poll, which is up 14 point from the Week 4 poll. In the Coaches Poll, UGA received 1,475 points, up 12 points from Week 4.

The victory over the Fighting Irish also earned Georgia one first-place vote in each poll.

The Bulldogs will be off next weekend, which is their first of two bye weeks during the 2019 season. Their second bye is on October 26, which is the week prior to the Georgia-Florida game in Jacksonville.

Georgia’s next game is on the road against the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday, October 5. The game time and television will be announced on Monday afternoon.
