UGA ranked 6th in first College Football Playoff rankings

The Georgia Bulldogs are ranked 6th in the first College Football Playoff rankings of the 2018 season released tonight by the College Football Playoff Selection Committee.

Alabama is ranked first, and the Crimson Tide are followed by (2) Clemson, (3) LSU, (4) Notre Dame, (5) Michigan, (6) Georgia, (7) Oklahoma, and (8) Washington State.

The College Football Playoff Selection Committee will release their Top 25 rankings each week on Tuesday through Nov. 27.

On Sunday, Dec. 2, the College Football Playoff Selection Committee will announce the Playoff Semifinal pairings and semifinal bowl assignments. Those will be followed by the pairings for the remainder of the New Year’s Six bowl games.
