Four-star JUCO DE Jermaine Johnson commits to UGA for 2019
Georgia’s 2019 recruiting class continues to roll on. Tonight the Bulldogs picked up their sixth commitment since July 16 when No. 1 ranked JUCO recruit Jermaine Johnson committed to the Dawgs.

Jermaine Johnson plays for Independence Community College in Independence, Kansas. He hails from Eden Prairie, Minnesota (Eden Prairie H.S.).
Johnson (6-6, 250) committed to the Georgia Bulldogs over most of the top schools, including Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Oregon, Louisville, Miami FL, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA, USC, and others.
In the 247Sports Composite, Jermaine Johnson is rated as a four-star recruit, the No. 1 JUCO weakside defensive end, and the No. 1 overall JUCO recruit for the 2019 class.
With Johnson’s commitment, Georgia’s 2019 class has moved up to No. 1 in the nation, per 247Sports. The Bulldogs now lead No. 2 Alabama and have three less commitments.
