College football rankings: UGA moves up for Week 5

The Georgia Bulldogs, who defeated Mississippi State 31-3 on Saturday, have moved up to 7th in the AP Poll and 8th in the Coaches Poll for Week 5.

Georgia received 1,136 points in the AP Poll, which is 196 more than they received in the Week 4 poll. In the Coaches Poll, UGA received 1,089 points, up 111 points from last week.

Georgia’s next game is Saturday, Sept. 30 in Knoxville against the Tennessee Volunteers (3:30pm ET, CBS). The Vols have won two straight over Georgia and currently lead the overall series 23-21-2.
