The Georgia Bulldogs announced their full non-conference basketball schedule on Thursday, which includes home games vs. Georgia Tech, Temple, and Winthrop.

Georgia will open their 2017-18 non-conference slate on Friday, Nov. 10 at home in Stegeman Coliseum against the Bryant Bulldogs. UGA will then play two more games at home, vs. USC-Upstate on Tuesday, Nov. 14 and vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Sunday, Nov. 19.

The Bulldogs then travel to California to play in the 2017 Wooden Legacy tournament. The bracket has not been released yet, but other participating teams include San Diego State, Saint Mary’s, Cal State Fullerton, DePaul, Washington State, Harvard, and St. Joseph’s.

On Saturday, Dec. 2, Georgia travels to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to play Marquette. The Hoop Dawgs then return home to host Winthrop on Tuesday, Dec. 5 before returning to the road to take on UMass on Saturday, Dec. 1.

The Bulldogs host Georgia Tech on Tuesday, Dec. 19 and Temple on Friday, Dec. 22. Georgia’s final non-conference game of the 2017-18 season is the Big 12/SEC Challenge game at Kansas State on Saturday, Jan. 27.

“The goal every year is to create a non-conference schedule that 1) prepares you for SEC play and 2) gives you the strength of schedule at the end of the year to have a chance to go to postseason play,” UGA head coach Mark Fox said. “I think again we’ve put one together that again should allow us to do both of those things.”

Georgia will continue to play their three SEC permanent opponents, Auburn, Florida, and South Carolina, on a home-and-home basis.

SEC opponents heading to Stegeman Coliseum in 2018 include Alabama, Arkansas, LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Texas A&M. The Hoop Dawgs will travel to play Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt.
