Four-star DB Chris Smith commits to UGA for 2018

The Georgia Bulldogs have picked up their third verbal commitment for the 2018 class when four-star cornerback Chris Smith of Atlanta (Hapeville Charter) pledged to Kirby Smart and UGA on Monday.

Smith (6-0, 165) committed to the Bulldogs over offers from most of the top schools, including Alabama, Auburn, Cal, Florida, Kansas State, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, USC, Virginia Tech, and Wisconsin.

Scout.com rates Chris Smith as a four-star recruit and the No. 32 cornerback.

In the 247Sports Composite, Smith is listed as a three-star recruit, the No. 41 cornerback, and the No. 438 overall recruit for the 2018 class.

Smith joins current Bulldog commits Donovan Georges, a three-star linebacker from Hialeah, Florida, and two-star kicker/punter Jake Camarda from Norcross, Georgia.
