The Georgia Bulldogs and Notre Dame Fighting Irish will meet in prime time this Fall at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend.
Notre Dame announced today that the game will be televised nationally by NBC at 7:30pm ET.
The 2017 game will be only the second meeting between the two schools following their matchup in the 1981 Sugar Bowl. Herschel Walker led UGA to a 17-10 victory, which ultimately led the Bulldogs to be crowned 1980 consensus national champions.
Notre Dame will travel to face the Bulldogs at Sanford Stadium in Athens in the second and final game of the home-and-home series on Sept. 21, 2019.
Georgia opens the 2017 season at home vs. the Appalachian State Mountaineers on Saturday, Sept. 2. Kickoff time and television coverage will be announced this summer.
