QB Nick Robinson to transfer from Georgia

Georgia’s back end of the depth chart at quarterback has weakened as redshirt freshman walk-on QB Nick Robinson (San Juan Capistrano, Jserra Catholic School) will transfer out of Georgia’s program, according to Anthony Dasher of UGASports.com.

Robinson’s decision to transfer may have come as a result of the competition ahead of him. Jacob Eason, Brice Ramsey, and Greyson Lambert are the legitimate contenders for the position with Robinson being a fourth option.
Georgia will only carry four quarterbacks for the upcoming season, which includes redshirt sophomore Sam Vaughn from Fort Pierce, Florida.
Nick Robinson, who played a majority of the second half of G-Day back in April, definitely showed he possesses a solid skill set, completing 5-of-7 passed for 49 yards and a touchdown. Therefore, he could definitely play a role within a lower-tier program, as his chances of being beneficial at Georgia were slim.
