JUCO WR Javon Wims commits to UGA for 2016

JUCO wide receiver Javon Wims of Jacksonville, Florida has committed to UGA for the class of 2016.

Rivals.com reported Wims’ commitment this afternoon, and shortly afterwards Wims confirmed his decision via Twitter.

Wims (6-4, 215) committed to the Bulldogs over offers from North Texas, South Alabama, Southern Miss, and Texas State. He also had interest from Alabama, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Missouri, and West Virginia.

Javon Wims currently plays for Hinds Community College in Jackson, Mississippi. In nine games this season, he has 47 receptions for 779 yards and nine touchdowns.

Georgia now has 18 commitments for the class of 2016 and Wims is the sixth wide receiver. He joins Darion Anderson, Davion Curtis, Randrecous Davis, and Charlie Woerner.
