Countdown to kickoff slated for July 11

ATHENS, Ga. – The 10th annual Countdown to Kickoff Fan Festival will be held Saturday, July 11, at Sanford Stadium.

The event will be held from noon to 3 p.m. and will provide fans a chance to interact with former and current Georgia football players as well as Hairy Dawg and the UGA cheerleaders.

Tickets cost $25 per person or $75 for a family four-pack. Children three and under are free. All proceeds benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Georgia Transplant Foundation. Click here for more information.

Former players expected to attend include Damien Gary, Burt Jones, Clint Boling, Matt Storm, Musa Smith, Rhett McGowan, Tim Jennings, Corey Johnson, Randall Godfrey, Rennie Curran, Thomas Brown and Brandon Miller.

Countdown to Kickoff was created in 2006 by former Bulldogs and NFL standouts Jon and Matt Stinchcomb and David Greene. Since then, Countdown to Kickoff has raised more than $1.2 million, with a goal of $150,000 in 2015.
