Yesterday afternoon, it was announced that UGA football head coach Mark Richt had received a two-year extension to his contract and a raise to $4.2 million.

The extension keeps him as the leader of the Georgia Bulldogs through the 2019 season as earned him a raise of $800,000 per year. He was previously making $3.2 million.

Shortly after making the announcement, the Georgia Bulldogs posted a mock ESPN magazine cover graphic on their official Instagram account. Check it out below:

  • I have been saying that for years. There is not a coach in America that i would rather a son of mine play for. Mark Richt is not only a great coach, but he is also a great CHRISTIAN man.

    • He hasnt been paid 3.2 million a yr to be a pastor or good guy. Maybe the extra $800k will get a title. He shpuld for sure be gone if he doesnt get Dawgs in playoffs 2x & at least in national title game 1x.
