Thirty-three student athletes to graduate Friday

ATHENS, Ga. – Thirty-three Georgia student-athletes will receive their undergraduate or graduate degrees Friday, December 19, 2014 at the annual Fall Commencement Graduation Ceremony at Stegeman Coliseum.

The Undergraduate ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m., and the Graduate ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m.

Among those student-athletes receiving their diplomas are 12 representatives from football, six from both swimming & diving and track & field, four from equestrian, two from soccer, and one student-athlete each from baseball, men’s golf and women’s tennis.

Baseball: Conor Welton, Atlanta, Ga., History.

Equestrian: Madison Clark, Brighton, Mich., Biological Science; Caitlyn Francis, Oak Bluffs, Mass., Political Science; McKenzie Lantz, Fremont, Mich., Sport Management; Emily Van Der Walde, Ann Arbor, Mich., Fashion Merchandising.

Football: Mark Beard, Adamsville, Ala., Sociology; Michael Bennett, Alpharetta, Ga., Sport Management; Chris Conley, Dallas, Ga., Journalism; Adam Erickson, Athens, Ga., Management; Kolton Houston, Buford, Ga., Family Financial Planning; Austin Long, Memphis, Tenn., Sociology; Hutson Mason, Marietta, Ga., Communication Studies; Taylor Maxey, Statham, Ga., Studies; AJ McDonald, Suwannee, Ga., Sport Management; Greg Mulkey, Fairmount, Ga., Ag Engineering, Mike Thornton, Stone Mountain, Ga., Communication Studies; Seth Watts, Sandersville, Ga., English.
