Georgia Football: 2013 Dawg Night set for Friday

Mark Richt’s annual “Dawg Night” Football Camp is set for Friday, July 12, 2013. The Bulldogs expect to entertain several top recruits.

At least a dozen Rivals250 prospects are expected to attend Dawg Night, according to UGASports.com. Here is a partial list of recruits attending by position:

Offensive Linemen

  • George Brown – Winton Woods, OH
  • Ben Cleveland – Toccoa, GA (Stephens County)
  • Rob Dowdy – Westerville, OH (Westerville South)
  • Mitch Hyatt – Suwanee, GA (North Gwinnett)
  • Drew Richmond – Memphis, TN (Memphis U. School)
  • Dyshon Sims – Clyattville, GA (Lowndes County)
  • Mason Veal – Charlotte, NC (Ardrey Kell)
  • Dallas Warmack – Atlanta, GA (Mays)
  • Isaiah Wynn – St. Petersburg, FL (Lakewood)

Tight Ends

  • Jalen Wilkerson – Douglas, GA (Coffee County)

Defensive Linemen

  • Lorenzo Carter – Norcross, GA (Norcross)
  • Elisha Shaw – Tucker, GA (Tucker)

Safeties

  • Kendall Grant – Lakeland, FL (Lake Gibson)
  • C.J. Hampton – Meridian, MS (Meridian)
  • Cortez McDowell – Locust Grove, GA (Locust Grove)

The camp is open to rising 9th through 12th graders, but not current Seniors. More info on Dawg Night and other camps can be found on Georgia’s official website.

Stay tuned this weekend as the Dawgs could pick up a few commitments for 2014 and maybe 2015. Several recruits commit to Georgia each year during or right after Dawg Night.
