Fullback Brendan Douglas commits to Georgia for 2013, spurns Tech

SicEmDawgs.com

Brendan DouglasBrendan Douglas, a fullback from Augusta, GA (Aquinas High School), has verbally committed to the Georgia Bulldogs for the 2013 recruiting class.

Douglas (6-0, 217, 4.46) had been committed to Georgia Tech since mid-November, but spurned the Yellow Jackets and flipped his commitment to the Bulldogs when he got a late offer. Charlotte, Georgia Southern, Samford, Tennessee State, and Wofford were some of the other schools to offer Douglas, who rushed for over 1,400 yards at Aquinas.

Rivals.com rates Douglas as a 3-star recruit and the 5th best fullback in the nation. Scout.com rates him as a 2-star recruit.

Georgia now has 30 total commitments for the 2013 recruiting class. The Dawgs are still hoping for a few commitments from some of their big targets to finish the class. Unfortunately, it seems one of them, 5-star OT Laremy Tunsil, has will sign with Ole Miss over Georgia.
