Rumph (6-5, 215, 4.5) went to Brookland-Cayce High School and currently attends Holmes Community College in Goodman, MS. He committed to the Bulldogs over Florida, Mississippi State, and Texas Tech, but also had offers from Arkansas, LSU, Ole Miss, Nebraska, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, and others.
“When I got there and saw the atmosphere and how good they are and how the coaching staff was, I felt that was a good spot for me and my family,” Rumph told UGASports.com. “That is when I made the decision.”
“The environment is great. The team is young. The offense is young. They have quarterback (Aaron Murray) that is coming back. They are low on receivers, and I feel that is a good spot for me to show my talents.”
Rumph, who is rated 4-stars by Rivals.com and Scout.com, plans to enroll at UGA in January and will have three years to play two. He is the 29th commitment for UGA’s 2013 recruiting class and the fifth wide receiver.
