Georgia opens as favorite in five biggest 2012 games

Covers.com has a look at some early college football spreads from the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. Georgia is favored in all five of their lines: Missouri, Tennessee, South Carolina, Florida and Auburn.

Those five opponents are arguably the biggest for the Bulldogs in 2012. The other two are Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt, and the Dawgs will likely be favored in both of those games as well. That means Georgia could conceivable enter each 2012 game as the favorite. When was the last time that happened?

We should also point out that the Dawgs are the road team in three of the five contests (Missouri, South Carolina, Auburn), plus the neutral-site game against Florida (2012 Georgia Football Schedule).

As Kegs ‘N Eggs points out, these early lines will move as more money comes in. Listed below are the point spreads for the five Georgia Bulldogs games:

Saturday, September 8

Georgia at Missouri (+3)

Saturday, September 29

Tennessee at Georgia (-13.5)

Saturday, October 6

Georgia at South Carolina (+2.5)

Friday, October 26

Florida vs. Georgia (-4.5)

Saturday, November 10

Georgia at Auburn (+6)

  • The Dawgs are really, really good. Scary good. I noticed on the right side bar the 2012 schedule is shown. I'm sure the Dawgs are favored in that Dec 1 game too! If I'm not mistaken the GEORGIA FREAKIN' DAWGS own more preseason National Championships than any other team in the country. GO DAWGS!!
