Josh Harvey-Clemons officially signs with the Georgia Bulldogs
The drama is finished. Josh Harvey-Clemons has officially signed with the Georgia Bulldogs, UGA announced this morning.
Harvey-Clemons committed to the Dawgs on National Signing Day live on ESPNU. He signed his Letter of Intent, but his grandfather and legal guardian Woodrow Clemons would not. Woodrow wanted Josh to sign with Florida which is a lot closer to Valdosta than Athens.
After a night of discussion, Josh convinced Woodrow that Georgia was where he wanted to go. And that’s the way it should be. Josh should be able to make the ultimate decision on which school he wants to attend and play football for.
The five-star outside linebacker from Lowndes High School gives the Bulldogs a total of 19 signees for the 2012 class.
Rivals.com rates Harvey-Clemons as a 5-star recruit, no. 1 in Georgia and no. 31 overall in the country. Scout.com also rates him as a 5-star recruit and the no. 2 outside linebacker.
Harvey-Clemons (6-5, 208) committed to the Dawgs over Florida, Florida State, Miami (FL) and other top schools. He will play outside linebacker for Georgia but could also play wide receiver.
