Freshman Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 18 points to lead the Georgia Bulldogs over the 12th-ranked Florida Gators 76-62 Saturday in Athens.

Georgia never trailed in the game and led by double digits for most of the second half. The Gators managed to cut the lead to six with 2:11 remaining and then five with 1:17 left. But Georgia then hit four straight free-throws to extend their lead and never looked back.

Caldwell-Pope also had five rebounds and four steals to go along with his 18 points. Gerald Robinson added 15 points while Nemanja Djurisic and Donte Williams each scored in double-figures with 12 and 11 respectively.

Dustin Ware was also clutch for Georgia in the victory. The Senior came off the bench to score 11 points and added four rebounds, six assists and three steals.

The Bulldogs avenged their loss at Florida in January, a game in which they were routed 70-48. Georgia improves to 13-15 overall and 4-10 in the SEC.

Georgia’s next game is Thursday, Mar. 1 at no. 1 Kentucky. The game will be televised by ESPN at 9:00 p.m. ET.
