Johnson (6-3, 310) committed to the Dawgs over offers from Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and others.
The 2011 season was Johnson’s first full year playing football. He lines up at defensive tackle for Northgate High School in Newnan, but at Georgia he will be asked to play nose guard in Todd Grantham’s 3-4 defense.
Johnson is the second defensive line commitment for 2013. He joins defensive tackle Chris Mayes, who is currently enrolled at Gulf Coast Community College.

I saw film of DJ. He looks like an NFL lineman. If we can keep adding guys like him to play NT our 3-4 is going to be awfully tough.
