On September 8, Georgia travels to face new SEC member Missouri. The Tigers are leaving the Big 12 and officially joins the SEC on July 1, 2012. The two schools’ only meeting came in the 1960 Orange Bowl which Georgia won 14-0.
After a home game against Florida Atlantic on September 15, the Bulldogs host Vanderbilt (Sept. 22) and Tennessee (Sept. 29). This is a departure from the normal scheduling format as the Dawgs usually face Tennessee first followed by Vandy. Also, these two games have usually started the first or second week of October since 1996.
The Dawgs then hit the road for two games, at South Carolina on October 6 and at Kentucky on October 20. Georgia was slated to travel to Alabama on Oct. 6, but the addition of Missouri pushed the Crimson Tide off of the schedule.
Missouri also pushed the Gamecocks down Georgia’s schedule to an unusual position. For the first time since 1998, the Gamecocks will not be Georgia’s first SEC opponent on the schedule.
Initially, Georgia was to have their open date on Oct. 20 preceding the Florida game in Jacksonville. The bye week now falls on Oct. 13 between the trips to Columbia and Lexington. The annual game against the Gators is scheduled for Oct. 27.
Georgia then returns home to host Ole Miss on November 3. The Rebels will then rotate off of the schedule for at least five years.
The final 2012 road game for UGA is November 10 at Auburn. The Dawgs close out the regular season with consecutive home games against Georgia Southern (Nov. 17) and Georgia Tech (Nov. 24).

the schedule 2012 is easy.
Look , all I have to say is that Georgia is going to be a wrecking ball in the S.e.c! We are going to take it all the way------->
Lsu without the "honey badger" ,and Bama without Richardson ... Who can stop Aaron Murray, Isaiah Crowell, and not to mention the recruiting this year! Georgia is a National championship team this year of 2012-2013! MARK my words you guys im psychic, lol
Fool we still have the Honey Badger and our roster is loaded we gone smash y'all again in the Georgia Dome just like last years SEC championship game and like Boise State did,GEAUX TIGERS!
And Isaiah Crowell , if u see this bruh, stay out of trouble... I know u want to party and be a star. But that's cool, but listen to Hershel walker it will take u a long way!
the only real worries are usc and florida (always a worry). other than that we should go all the way. i dont see any game we should loose. go ga!
Thanks Missouri for joining the SEC. We would have played Bama. I don't think we are ready for Bama just yet.
Go dawgs
i'd much rather play mizzo at home. I don't see why the sec gave them their first game in the conference at home, to me the sec is about going to someone's house and trying to stop their run game and seeing if u can get by their d. i also don't see where mizzo helps benefit the secc in football. the conference has already helped them when they landed dgb. either way, any comments?
