#12 Xavier beats Georgia 70-56
The 12th ranked Xavier Musketeers beat the Georgia Bulldogs 70-56 Friday night. The loss drops the Bulldogs to 4-2 on the season.
Unfortunately, the final score wasn’t indicative of how far apart the Bulldogs and Musketeers are. Georgia missed their first 11 shots of the game and trailed by as many as 36 points midway through the second half.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had a bad night shooting (4-for-13) but led the Dawgs in scoring with 14. Gerald Robinson, who added 10, was the only other Bulldog to score in double-figures.
The Hoop Dawgs ended the night shooting a dismal 32.1% (18-for-56) and only 26.9% (7-for-26) from three-point range.
Next up for Georgia is a trip to face the Colorado Buffaloes on Monday, Nov. 28 (8:00 p.m. ET – SportSouth).
