Mark Fox signs three in Early Signing Period

On Wednesday, Georgia basketball head coach Mark Fox announced the signing of three in-state recruits: Kenny Gaines, Charles Mann and Brandon Morris.

Gaines (6-4, 190) plays for Whitefield Academy in Smyrna. As a junior, he averaged 20.8 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists. He had offers from several top schools including Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Iowa, Marquette, Miami (FL), South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas Tech and West Virginia.

Rivals.com ranks Gaines as a 3-star recruit, the no. 25 shooting guard and 125th overall in the 2012 class. Scout.com also ranks Gaines 3-stars and the no. 20 shooting guard.

Mann (6-5, 193) plays for Milton High School in Alpharetta. As a junior, he played at Union Grove High School in McDonough and averaged over 22 points, 6.8 rebounds and 7.1 assists. Mann had offers from Auburn, Connecticut, Florida State, Georgia Tech, South Carolina and others.

Rivals.com ranks Mann as a 3-star recruit, the no. 32 shooting guard and 14oth overall in the 2012 class. Scout.com ranks Mann 3-stars and the no. 21 point guard.

Morris (6-7, 195) plays for Miller Grove High School in Lithonia. Last season he averaged 11.2 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game. Morris had offers from several top schools including Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Memphis, Missouri, NC State and others.

Rivals.com and Scout.com both rate Morris as a three-star recruit.

The early signing period runs through Wednesday, November, 16. Barring a last minute surprise, the Bulldogs aren’t expected to sign anyone else.
