Hoop Dawgs fall to Colorado 70-68

The Hoop Dawgs staged a late rally but fell to the Colorado Buffaloes 70-68 in Boulder Monday night. The loss drops the Bulldogs to 4-3 on the season.

Georgia led by as many as 12 points in the first half and led 38-34 at the half. But Colorado came out hot in the second half to take the lead.

With 2:54 remaining in the game and down by 11, the Dawgs whittled the deficit down to two but ran out of time.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope led the Bulldogs with 15 points on 6-of-17 shooting. Gerald Robinson didn’t start the game but scorwd 14. Donte Williams scored 11 while Dustin Ware and Vincent Williams each added 9.

Georgia ended the night shooting 41.3% (26-for-63) and 40.0% (10-for-25) from three-point range.

Next up for the Bulldogs is the Big East/SEC Challenge. Georgia hosts the Cincinnati Bearcats in Athens 0n Fri., Dec. 2 at 7:00 p.m. ET (ESPNU).
