UGAThe Georgia Bulldogs ran out to a 21-3 lead at the half and went on to beat the Mississippi State Bulldogs 24-10 for their third win in a row. Georgia is now 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the SEC.

True freshman Isaiah Crowell rushed for 104 yards on 22 carries. It was his second game in a row with over 100 yards rushing and third overall in 2011.

Aaron Murray finished the game 13-of-25 for 160 yards and two touchdowns. However, he threw three interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown in the fourth quarter that closed the gap to 14 points.

But the Dawgs defense, which was stout all day, held Mississippi State in check and didn’t allow the Bulldogs to get any closer. MSU finished the game with only 213 yards of total offense (56 on the ground).

For the second consecutive week, Malcolm Mitchell led all UGA receivers with five receptions for 60 yards and a touchdown. Orson Charles added three catches for 46 yards and a touchdown.

Mark Richt is now 3-1 against the Bulldogs and 1-1 against Dan Mullen. Overall, the Bulldogs are now 17-6 against Mississippi State.

Next up for Georgia is a trip to Knoxville to face the Tennessee Volunteers (Sat., Oct. 8). The game will be televised by ESPN2 at 7:00 p.m. ET (Tickets).
