Robinson Jr. Scores 21, Leads Dawgs over Buffaloes
Gerald Robinson, Jr. scored 21 points to lead the Georgia Bulldogs over the visiting Colorado Buffaloes 83-74. The Hoop Dawgs are now 2-0 overall.
Georgia led by as many as 17 points in the first half, but Colorado rallied back to tie the game at 33 each at halftime.
Trey Thompkins missed his second game with a high ankle sprain he suffered before the season started. Head coach Mark Fox hopes to have Thompkins back in time for the Old Spice Classic in Orlando next week.
Travis Leslie added 19 points for the Dawgs, but had one embarrassing moment. He missed a wide open dunk after the ball hit the back of the rim and caromed away almost to half-court.
Two other Bulldogs scored in double-figures, Jeremy Price scored 17 points and Chris Barnes added 10.
Next up for Georgia is a road game at the Saint Louis Billikens on Saturday, November 20. The game will not be televised.
