Georgia Defeats Idaho State 55-7

Aaron Murray threw three touchdown passes and the Georgia defense returned two interceptions for scores in a 55-7 rout over the Idaho State Bengals.

Murray finished the game 19 of 27 for 228 yards and three touchdowns. True freshman Hutson Mason entered the game early in the third quarter and completed 3 of 8 passes for 41 yards.

The Dawgs rushed for 181 yards and were led by Carlton Thomas with 64 yards and Caleb King with 43 yards and a touchdown.

A.J. Green led all receivers with six receptions for 103 yards and two touchdowns.

The Georgia defense held Idaho State to a mere 151 yards of total offense and one touchdown that was scored late in the fourth quarter.

Early in the second quarter, Bacarri Rambo intercepted a Russell Hill pass a returned it 39 yards for a TD. Near the end of the third quarter, Vance Cuff intercepted a pass by Kyle Morris and returned it 30 yards for the score.

Next up for the Georgia Bulldogs is their final SEC contest of the year at the Auburn Tigers on Saturday, November 13. The game will be televised by CBS at 3:30 p.m. ET.

  • In 2006 Freshman quarter back led the unranked 6-4 Bulldogs into Auburn to face the number 5 9-1 Tigers. Georgia upset Auburn in a 37-15 beating. This ruined Auburn's chances at the National Championship. In 2010 Freshman quarterback Aarron Murray leads the unranked Bulldogs against the number one 10-0 tigers. Lets do it again.
