JUCO center John Florveus has committed to Mark Fox and the Georgia Bulldogs. Florveus is the third 2010-11 commitment for the Hoop Dawgs.
Florveus (7-0, 215) plays for Hillsborough Community College in Tampa Bay, Florida after graduating from Dunbar High School in Fort Myers. He committed to UGA over offers from Iowa State, Marshall, UTEP and Washington State.
Last season at Hillsborough, Florveus blocked 64 shots in 24 games. Overall, he averaged 8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game.
Since Florveus is a JUCO transfer, he will have three years to play two seasons for the Dawgs.
