Florida hit a 37-yard field goal in overtime to beat Georgia 34-31 in Jacksonville. It was the first overtime victory for either school in the historical rivalry.
Georgia trailed 21-7 at halftime, but battled back to tie the game and eventually send the game to overtime. On their first possession, quarterback Aaron Murray threw his third interception of the game ending the Dawgs’ chances of beating the Gators.
Chas Henry, the Florida punter, hit a 37-yard field goal in overtime to beat hapless Georgia.
Murray finished the game 18-of-37 for 313 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions. Tight end Orson Charles led the team with six receptions for 108 yards and a touchdown.
Tavarres King also had three catches for 104 yards. He scored on a 66-yard pass from Murray in the 2nd quarter. A.J. Green, Georgia’s best receiver, had only four catches for 42 yards and a TD.
Next up for Georgia is a home game against Idaho State on Saturday, November 6, 2010. The game will be televised by WSB-TV Channel 2 in Georgia.

WHAT A GAME and WHAT A CROWD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just a bad Final Score!!!!!
Cant believe i fell for it again (feels like Cubs fan). you think we would all know how it ends. I once heard that AJ Green guy was good. Too bad we didnt try him earlier. Seasons pretty much shot if we woulda be Florida it would've made this season less painful yesterday only added too it. I dont care how close it was Florida really isnt that good and we should've won, but we aint that good ethier and I know that.
It's been so long since the Dawgs sucked this bad. In Georgia's defense (if it's even necessary) it is said that the GA/FLA game is on a "neutral" field. Well, maybe, in the sense that it is neither teams' home field. But JAX is approx. 62 miles from Gainesville, while it is approx. 382 miles from Athens. In many people's minds, that would be a FLA home game, comparatively. That being said, it comes NO WHERE close to explaining Georgia's FIVE losses, so far, and probably at least 2 more coming. I have to predict NO BOWL for the Dawgs this year....which isn't much worse (if any at all) than another Independence Bowl. At least A.J. won't have a bowl jersey to sell.
