The Georgia Bulldogs were picked to finish second in the East in the annual SEC preseason media survey. The Florida Gators were picked to finish first.
Listed below is a breakdown of the first-place votes that were received for each team (177 votes total):
- Florida – 153
- Georgia – 15
- South Carolina – 8
- Vanderbilt – 1
Evidently, some jokester voted for Vanderbilt. It was probably a member of the Nashville media and it’s actually quite funny.
In the Western Division, Alabama was the favorite with Arkansas coming in second. The voters also picked the Crimson Tide to beat the Florida Gators in the 2010 SEC Championship Game.
What do you think about the vote? Can the Dawgs displace the Gators in the East?

Somebody tell coach richt to kick florida's a@@ this is becoming a joke! They got into georgia's head and georgia can't overcome. It's bad living in florida all they do is laugh at this team!
The Gators are definitely in our head, no doubt about it. We should have at least split the series this past decade.
Tebow is gone.. Charlie Strong is gone.. I'm excited about our new defensive coaches... we need to beat 'em THIS year !!
