JUCO guard Sherrard Brantley of Northwest Florida Community College has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs. He is the second 2010 recruit to commit to Mark Fox and the Dawgs this week. Donte Williams committed to the Bulldogs on Wednesday.

Brantley played for Dublin High School in Dublin, Georgia and helped lead his team to the State 2A Championship his senior year. Last night, Brantley posted his Facebook status as “just committed to University of Georgia. happy to finally get done with this stuff. thanks to everybody who keeping up with me.”

Brantley (6-2) committed to UGA over offers from Central Michigan, Creighton and LSU. If he qualifies to enroll at Georgia, he will have three years of eligibility.

Brantley fills another need for the 2010-11 Hoop Dawgs – a three-point bomber. During his first season at NFCC, Brantley made 105 three-pointers and shot 43% from behind the arc.
