Georgia Rallies from 13-Point Deficit to Defeat Alabama 76-70
The Bulldogs trailed the Crimson Tide by 13 points with 11:39 to play, but rallied to overcome the deficit and won 76-70. The win improves Georgia to 12-13 overall and 4-8 in the SEC.
Trey Thompkins had a huge game and played almost the whole way for the Dawgs. In 38 minutes, he had 21 points, 17 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal. Three other Bulldogs scored in double-figures. Travis Leslie had 16 points, Ricky McPhee scored 13 and Chris Barnes added 10.
Dustin Ware scored 7 points, but was held scoreless for almost the entire game. All of his points came in the last two minutes, including a clutch 3-pointer and four free-throws to help seal the victory.
Georgia travels to Nashville to face Vanderbilt on Thursday evening. The game will be televised by ESPNU at 7:00 p.m. ET.
