The Fall 2009 college basketball signing period began today and the Georgia Bulldogs have already signed one recruit. Mark Fox received a Letter of Intent from power forward Cady Lalanne of Orlando, FL (Oak Ridge H.S.).
Lalanne (6-8, 215) signed with the Hoop Dawgs over offers from George Mason, Massachusetts, Ole Miss, UCF, USF and VCU. He is ranked by Rivals.com as a 3-star recruit and no. 142 in the 2010 Rivals150. Scout.com also ranks him as a 3-star recruit and the no. 21 power forward in the country.
The early signing period runs through Wednesday, November 18, 2009. The only other recruit that may sign with the Dawgs in the early period is Shawn Kemp, Jr. He has narrowed his schools down to Auburn and Georgia.
Update (12:00 p.m.) – Shawn Kemp Jr. has signed a letter of intent with Auburn.
