The Georgia Bulldogs have added the North Texas Mean Green to their 2013 football schedule, the AJC has reported. The game will be played in Athens on August 31, 2013 and the contract calls for the Mean Green to receive $975,000.
This will be the first ever meeting between the two schools. The Mean Green play in the Sun Belt Conference and finished 1-11 in 2008.
The addition of North Texas should complete the non-conference schedule for the Bulldogs in 2013. Georgia also has a home game scheduled against Appalachian State (9/7). The Dawgs will travel to face the Clemson Tigers and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
